SDR and Save the Children Italia: new activities launched at "Punto Luce delle Arti "(Ostia)

The activities of the Design project at the Punto Luce delle Arti have recently been launched, a series of workshops to spread creative and digital knowledge in the Ostia area. The activities will be carried out at the Punto Luce delle Arti, a place managed by Save the Children Italia Onlus in the former Guttuso Institute of Ostia.
A new reference place for the young people of the neighborhood that offers an increasingly complete range of training activities with a focus on those creative empowerment activities that would otherwise be inaccessible to the territory in question.
The SDR Center, on the strength of its skills and in the context of the third mission of the University, assumes the role of operational consultancy and didactic care for the project, providing specific skills for implementation.
Specifically, the project involves the creation of 6 Design Courses / Laboratories referring to the following areas of Design: 3D Modeling and Rapid prototyping for Jewelery; 3D modeling and Rapid prototyping for Dynamic Modeling; Stop Motion Graphics; Small Robot Design; Graphics for screen printing; 3D art. The practical activities have already begun with the folloginw two courses:
1. Art in 3D is a course aimed at acquiring specific Digital Skills for Personal Growth and Development. In particular, the course aims to bring students closer to three-dimensional modeling, encouraging them to understand the fundamental principles of virtual three-dimensional design and at the same time stimulating the observation of a work of art and abstract thinking for three-dimensional drawing.
2. The course on screen printing is aimed at the realization of screen printing on fabrics and organized according to the following learning phases: history of screen printing technique; identification of a common project; making the frame, engraving, printing.
