This Research Line is dedicated to experimental research on healthcare products, services, and systems, integrating digital technologies and human-centered design approaches. The Center investigates solutions for care, monitoring, and clinical training, with a particular focus on usability, ergonomics, and the interaction between patients, healthcare professionals, and medical technologies in various care settings.

SpHead, funded by the Lazio Region - "Research Groups 2020" Call, has enabled the creation of a product-service system (hardware and software) capable of monitoring relevant parameters in response to the specific needs of nursing homes. The results obtained were: 1) the creation of a prototype wearable tracking device and 2) the development of a high-fidelity interface for the monitoring software to be tested in a relevant environment.

NTT Neurosurgery Training Tool. The experimental research developed with Elison S.r.l. aims to develop and prototype a neurosurgical and anatomical training system useful, on the one hand, for the training of neurosurgeons with little surgical experience and, on the other, for the training of students.

Bio-Giulia. The experimental research conducted for Ginevri srl focuses on medical technologies for the neonatal sector (e.g., assisted respiration) with a focus on usability, considering the physical and cognitive ergonomics needs of human-machine interaction between the device, operators, and patients.
