The SDR Center is led by its Director, Prof. Loredana Di Lucchio (2025–2027), assisted by the Deputy Director, appointed from within the Steering Committee, Prof. Ioannis Chatzigiannakis. Supporting the research activities of the Technical-Scientific Council is the Research Strategy Manager, Dr. Viktor Malakuczi, a Design Researcher.
SDR operates on a horizontal network model in which the Steering Committee—chaired by the Director and composed of the Directors of the affiliated departments and their respective delegates—handles coordination and approves all technical-administrative procedures.

For the most common procedures, SDR Center affiliates and collaborators may use the following forms, attached to this article:
