Learning Format and Activities

The program includes 80 hours of live online sessions and three optional Innovation Studios in Rome.
Learning activities include:

  • Interactive lectures and design sprints.
  • Practical labs using tools such as Unity, Vuforia and FrameVR.
  • Industry case studies and guest talks.
  • Peer collaboration and structured feedback.
  • One-to-one mentoring with XR experts.

Innovation Studio (Optional)
Three weekend workshops at Sapienza University (Friday & Saturday mornings) focused on hands-on XR development, advanced prototyping, and networking with researchers and industry mentors.

Project Work

Throughout the program, students will develop a comprehensive project that demonstrates their mastery of XR technologies and design thinking principles.

This project acts as both a learning experience and a strong addition to the students’ professional portfolios.

Each component supports the students’ learning journey, allowing them to apply and experiment with XR in real scenarios.           

  1. Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
    A functional prototype to gather real user feedback.
     
  2. XR-Based Prototype
    An immersive AR/VR/MR experience demonstrating technical implementation.
     
  3. Strategic Innovation Report
    Comprehensive documentation of the design process, user research and market opportunity analysis.
